"I can sometimes sit for two hours..." - Quote by Eckhart Tolle
I can sometimes sit for two hours in a room with almost no thought. Just complete stillness. Sometimes when I go for walks, there's also complete stillness; there's no mental labeling of sense perceptions. There's simply a sense of awe or wonder or openness, and that's beautiful.

“Ask yourself: Is there joy, ease and lightness in what i'm doing? If there isn't then time is covering up the present moment, and life is perceived as a burden or a struggle.”
“The thinking mind is a useful and powerful tool, but it is also very limiting when it takes over your life completely, when you don't realize that it is only a small aspect of the consciousness that you are.”
“The actual experience of awakening can only be in the present moment.”

“Who can wait quietly until the mud settles? Who can remain still until the moment of action?”
“Instead of 'watching the thinker,' you can also create a gap in the mind stream simply by directing the focus of your attention into the Now. Just become intensely conscious of the present moment. This is a deeply satisfying thing to do. In this way, you draw consciousness away from mind activity and create a gap of no-mind in which you are highly alert and aware but not thinking. This is the essence of meditation.”
“Can you be still and look inside? If so, then you know the truth is always available, and always responsive.”
More on Meditation
“Meditation is valuable for all of humanity because it involves looking inward. People don't have to be religious to look inside themselves more carefully. It is constructive and worthwhile to analyze our emotions, including compassion and our sense of caring, so that we can become more calm and happy.”
“Embrace silence since meditation is the only way to truly come to know your Source.”
“Life can be pleasant or miserable. To lead a fruitful life, and to make it positive, practice analytical meditation.”
