Woodrow Wilson (1856–1924) was the 28th president of the United States. He served from 1913 to 1921. Wilson was the only Democrat president during the Progressive Era. He led the US into World War I. Wilson was the leading architect of the League of Nations. His foreign policy stance became known as Wilsonianism. Before presidency, he was president of Princeton University and governor of New Jersey. His first term focused on progressive domestic policies like the Federal Reserve Act.
